Born and raised in Central Florida, Dr. Kaplan graduated from Barry University’s School of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery in 1998. He completed his Primary Podiatric Medicine residency program based out of Cedars Medical Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. He is a Diplomate, American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry, and board certified in Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Foot Wounds and in Diabetic Foot Care. Dr. Kaplan has been a podiatrist for 26 years, working at a large family practice then as the Chief Medical Officer at an FQHC prior to starting his own private practice, Family Podiatry of Central Florida. .For over 20 years he volunteered his service to the homeless and uninsured residents of Greater Orlando through the Orange County Medical Clinic where he also sat on the Special Care board. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Kelli, and they have two sons. His oldest son is starting his residency in podiatry and will be joining the practice upon graduating.
